Premier Limousine Partners with Houston Astros All-Star and Central Connecticut Businesses for Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort

The company is collecting item donations at its headquarters and at the ‘Pack the Truck’ event on September 8th.

Berlin and New Britain, Connecticut -- September 5, 2017 - Premier Limousine, a Berlin-based luxury transportation service provider, is teaming with Houston Astros outfielder and New Britain native, George Springer, local baseball team the New Britain Bees and Siracusa Moving & Storage to collect item donations that will be distributed to shelters in Houston and the surrounding areas that were directly affected by Hurricane Harvey. From September 5th through September 7th, Premier Limousine will be collecting donated items at its headquarters on 76 Fuller Street between the hours of 9:00am through 4:00pm. On September 8th, the company will also join the New Britain Bees and Siracusa Moving & Storage at New Britain Stadium to collect donated items for a ‘Pack the Truck’ event at 1:00pm.

“With the devastation of Hurricane Harvey leaving many stranded and in need of assistance, we felt it was our duty, as fellow Americans, to do anything we can to try and help the people there,” said Angelo DiMarco, President of Marketing & IT at Premier Limousine. “We’re honored to be involved in the Pack the Truck initiative and, with the help of our community, hope we can provide some relief for the people of Houston.”

Donation items requested include nonperishable food, lightly used clothing, unopened personal hygiene products, household items (including air mattresses, but not including furniture) and baby products. For a complete list of requested donations, please review the Pack the Truck event flyer. Anyone who drops off donated items at Premiere Limousine’s headquarters will receive 10% off a trip. Premier Limousine will also have a silver 30-passenger limo bus parked at New Britain Stadium and will be donating two pallets of bottled water - approximately 3,400 bottles.

“On behalf of the Springer Family, we encourage your support for the victims of the devastation in Houston,” said Springer. “We appreciate your generosity in this time of need. No contribution is too small.”

Other local organizations partnering in the donation efforts include A-1 Automotive & Transmission and the Connecticut Blue Jays AAU travel baseball team. Any local organization that wishes to assist can contact Nicole Springer at nspringer@nbbees.com.

After the Pack the Truck event at New Britain Stadium, the Bees will host the Sugar Land Skeeters that night for a doubleheader starting at 5:35pm. Anyone who donates will receive a voucher to the doubleheader. The Bees staff will also be collecting monetary donations at each game for the remainder of the regular season.

“Our hearts are with all that have been affected by the flooding in Texas,” said New Britain Bees majority owner Anthony Iacovone. “We hope that others will join New Britain in giving something to help the residents of Houston and the surrounding areas get through this terrible time.”
