The Collinsville annual Halloween parade is in its 24th year, and this year promised to be spookier than ever! The crowd will be at the foot of the balcony at the Canton Historical Museum and set off in full Halloween regalia. If you’re looking for a family-friendly event with an amazing atmosphere, this is the event for you.

 

Hobgoblin Fair

10 am – Noon or 1-3 pm

Tickets $8 Children and $4 Adults

This family-friendly event is perfect for the adventurous families out there. The Roaring Brook Nature Centre’s Hobgoblin Fair has children’s crafts, cupcake decorating, face painting and an amazing ‘Track & Treat’ walk which will keep the kids entertained for hours!  The website suggests wearing costumes that are suitable for walking in the woods, so no massive pumpkin outfits.

Mark Twain House and Museum

Tickets $22 adults, $15 children

Mark Twain’s House and Museum is one of Hartford’s best attractions all year round, but it’s extra special at Halloween. Take a tour of the house and listen to some spooky tales and a haunted history.

Tickets $15 adults, $10 teens. Not suitable for under 13’s

If you want a truly creepy experience, there’s nothing better than going underground. Delve into the terrifying mine-shafts, deep into the darkness where no-one can save you! This event is perfect if you want to actually scare yourself.

 

Fright Haven

Oct 5th – 31st

Tickets $20 advance purchase, $25 on the door

Fright Haven is Connecticut’s biggest indoor attraction this Halloween, with 20,000 square feet of haunted goodies! This event is back after 10 years “lying dormant” and is really worth checking out.
